2. Definitions

• User / Customer: a person or entity registering, ordering or using the services.
• Service: SecureLayer platform and related domain, hosting, VPS, dedicated server, colocation and IT services.
• Domain: any domain or subdomain registered, transferred or added by the Customer.
• DNS: domain name resolution service and DNS zone management.
• EDGE: reverse proxy layer that receives public traffic and forwards it to the origin.
• Origin: the Customer’s actual server, application endpoint or infrastructure.
• SecureLayer Challenge: key-based human verification and abuse prevention mechanism.
• Web hosting: shared or isolated hosting environment for websites, applications and databases.
• VPS: virtual private server with allocated CPU, RAM, storage and networking resources.
• Dedicated server: physical server provided for the Customer’s use.
• Server hosting / colocation: data center placement of the Customer’s own server.

3. Contract creation and duration

The contract is created electronically when the User registers on the panel, places an order, accepts these Terms and Conditions or starts using the services.

The contract may be established for an indefinite period or for the duration specified in the selected package, offer or agreement.

Certain services — including domain registration, domain renewal, dedicated servers or colocation — may be subject to fixed billing periods, annual payments or custom agreements.

4. Nature and technical framework of the services

4.1 SecureLayer EDGE ↔ Origin connection

SecureLayer EDGE forwards traffic to the Customer’s origin endpoint over the public internet. Private VLAN or VPN connectivity is not included unless separately agreed.

4.2 Web hosting services

Web hosting services may include hosting space, web serving environment, databases, e-mail and related technical features according to the selected hosting package.

4.3 VPS services

VPS services provide virtualized server resources. The Customer is responsible for operating system, applications, users, passwords, firewall rules and backups, unless managed services are explicitly agreed.

4.4 Dedicated server rental

Dedicated server services provide physical server hardware for the Customer’s use. Hardware specifications, networking and availability conditions are defined by the selected package or custom agreement.

4.5 Server hosting / colocation

Colocation services allow Customers to place their own hardware in a professional data center environment. Rack space, power and network connectivity are provided according to the selected offer.

The Customer is responsible for hardware compatibility, software configuration, licensing and backups unless otherwise agreed in writing.

4.6 Domain registration and management

SecureLayer may act as reseller, intermediary or technical provider toward registrars and registries.

Domain registration success depends on availability, registry policies and the accuracy of Customer-provided data.

5. Service descriptions

5.1 DNS and domain services

• HTTP(S) traffic forwarding to origin servers

• certificate issuance and renewal
• job-based processing
• status and event logging

5.4 SecureLayer Challenge

• site key / secret integration
• domain whitelist support
• server-side verification

5.5 Web hosting

• hosting for websites and applications
• storage, database and traffic limits depending on package
• PHP/MySQL and supported environments
• SSL and domain integration support

5.6 VPS

• virtual CPU, RAM, storage and networking resources
• Linux-based server environments
• public IP addresses and network connectivity
• optional DDoS protection and SecureLayer integration

5.7 Dedicated servers

• physical server rental
• CPU, RAM, RAID and networking resources
• IPMI, iDRAC or iLO remote management if included
• optional managed services

5.8 Server hosting / colocation

• rack space or full rack colocation
• data center power and networking
• public IPs, VLAN and management connectivity
• remote hands and technical assistance depending on agreement

6. Registration, access and security

• Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• Access credentials must be kept confidential.
• Users are responsible for activities performed through their accounts.
• The Service Provider may temporarily restrict access for security reasons.

7. Prohibited use

• illegal content distribution or storage
• malware, phishing, botnet or exploit hosting
• spam or spam-related infrastructure
• attacks or overload attempts against systems
• violating third-party rights
• unauthorized vulnerability scanning or intrusion attempts
• activities damaging the reputation or infrastructure of the Service Provider

8. Pricing, invoicing and payments

Services may be available in free or paid plans, or through custom agreements.

• subscription-based billing with prepaid periods
• annual billing for domain-related services
• monthly or custom billing for VPS and server services
• service suspension may occur in case of overdue payments
• certain registry fees may be non-refundable

9. Availability and maintenance

The Service Provider aims to ensure continuous operation and may announce planned maintenance in advance whenever possible.

Availability does not cover failures caused by Customer configuration, origin server downtime, DNS issues, third-party failures, force majeure or unauthorized modifications.

10. Customer responsibilities

• The Customer is responsible for uploaded or hosted content.
• The Customer is responsible for application, password and API security.
• Customers using VPS or dedicated servers are responsible for software management unless managed services are included.
• The Customer is responsible for backups unless backup services are separately agreed.
• The Customer must provide valid information for domain registration.

11. Liability limitation

Services are provided on an “as-is” basis. The Service Provider is not liable for indirect damages, business interruption, lost profits or data loss.

The total liability of the Service Provider shall not exceed the amount paid by the Customer during the previous 1 month.

The Service Provider is not responsible if a requested domain becomes unavailable during the registration process or if a registry rejects the registration.

12. Data processing

Details regarding personal data processing are available in the Privacy Policy.

Technical logs, IP addresses, DNS data, billing data and security events may be processed for operational and legal purposes.

14. Suspension and termination

The Service Provider may suspend or terminate services in case of overdue payments, abuse, prohibited activities or threats to infrastructure stability or security.

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate termination.

15. Final provisions

The Service Provider may modify these Terms and Conditions. Updates may be published on the website, control panel or sent by e-mail.

Hungarian law shall apply to matters not regulated herein.
